Welcome to my website! Here are some things that I’m passionate about:

– Living the good life within a close-knit community
– Restoring a thoughtful Christian witness in America
– Helping Christians practice solidarity with the poor

If you’re interested in any of these things, I invite you to explore my story or some of my thoughts on these topics. If you’d like to connect with me personally, feel free to drop me a note. Glad you’re here!

Since my freshman year of college I have carried around a journal everywhere I’ve gone. I use it to jot down fresh ideas, messy to-do lists or even quick lines of poetry. When a thought feels like it might be coming from the Lord, I make sure to write it down. Most of these thoughts stay in my journal and are never shared with anyone. I created this site to work on polishing some of these scribbles and to share these moments of insight with people like you!

what I’m reading

A Spirituality of Fundraising by Henri Nouwen
“If our security is totally in God, then we are free to ask for money. Only when we are free from money can we ask freely for others to give it. This is the conversion to which fundraising as ministry calls us.”
Every Good Endeavor by Tim Keller
"Christians have been set free to enjoy working. If we begin to work as if we were serving the Lord, we will be freed from both overwork and underwork. Neither the prospect of money and acclaim, nor the lack of it, will be our controlling consideration."

pieces I’ve written

July 2021 Community Letter
In this letter, I’ll share updates on the following: – New Three-Year Strategic Plan – Second annual summer internship – Thoughts on thought leadership
COVID-19, Narnia & Death
"The death question goes deeper than merely how to avoid it. I want to help you think through death by laying out the surprisingly few number of philosophical postures towards mortality."

what I’m listening to

This Cultural Moment Podcast
This is a podcast where John Mark Comer and Mark Sayers talk about whatever Mark Sayers has been thinking about lately, and it's amazing. They explore characteristics of "pre-Christian, Christian and post-Christian societies" and talk about how secularization leads people to embrace the "political religions".

talks I’ve given

Two Coins Podcast
Two Coins is one the most fun projects I've been able to work on in the past year. It has been a delight to collaborate with Angela Tawfik, Chris Kuo & Kristi Sturgill to tell AMAZING stories of people from around the world who have overcome poverty.
Solidarity and the Abundant Life
Solidarity consists of learning from the poor by seeing their abundance, standing with the poor by fighting for justice and sacrificing for the poor by giving to charity. This virtue is biblical, essential and part of the abundant life.
